Are you an employee or a student at Linköping University with a business idea? Let us help you explore the market needs and find a strategy for commercializing your innovation. We provide students and employees at Linköping University support to carry out initial verification activities with the aim of supporting the commercialization, application and exploitation of innovative ideas and business concepts.

Support activities are funded and carried out stepwise in such a manner that relevant areas for utilization, such as customer benefit, uniqueness and market potential are investigated, tested and developed. In this way, risks can be identified and reduced in each step and funds can be used efficiently. The verification support is funded by the Vinnova program ‘Verifiering för Tillväxt’ (VFT).

– If the company conducts business activities related to the idea, which includes non-negligible revenues from sales;

Elevator pitch

Need: What is the problem your solution solves and for whom?

Describe the customer’s or market’s key problem or unmet need are you addressing. Who is the customer, i.e. having the problem/need and is willing to pay for resolving it? What will happen if the need is not met? Can you somehow quantify the market (overall size, prices, growth trends, geography, etc.)?

Approach: What is unique about your solution and how does it meet the need?

Describe your solution, broadly speaking, and the most important aspects of your approach (strategy, business model etc.). How will this approach allow you to reach the customers and address their need?

Benefits: What value is created for the customer by your approach?

Describe the benefits a customer will experience by using your approach. Can you quantify the value (money/time/convenience/improved quality etc.) for the customer? At what cost for the customer, e.g. investments in rebuilding and/or reorganizing to implement?

Competition: In what way is this approach different and superior to the alternatives?

Describe the competition, i.e. other ways of addressing the same problem/need. Why does your solution represent the best value for the customer? Can you name some competitor companies?
