CBOT bring in capital in the first investment round

CBOT develops mobile robots, witch is seeing, for the construction industry. They are taking their first investment of 3.2 million SEK while signing a loan with ALMI 2.6 million. The money will go to launch and start selling the first seeing tiling robot. Almi Invest, together with private investors and Liu Invest, wich is Linkoping University Holdings investment fund investor.

CBOT has for several years been working on developing a unique platform for mobile robots with vision and this investment will help us to reach the market with our unique technology, says Fredrik Viksten, founder and CEO of CBOT.

CBOT develops intelligent robots for the construction industry, which uses sensors and intelligent algorithms to replaces large parts of the manual work done in the construction industry today. Manual work is both heavy and tough, while the quality of what is delivered is varied and time consuming. The first product put ceramic tile on large floor areas, such as supermarkets, malls and airports, a product that has been developed in close cooperation with prospective customers.

The robot is controlled by advanced software for computer vision, which allows the robot to "see" and understand their environment and therefore can figure out how the plates will be added to have a high and consistent quality. CBOT will further develop the working prototype into a finished product, which will go on sale in autumn 2017.
