BootUp is LEAD’s business development program for early stage startups and is conducted twice a year. Now the fall round has started – where half of the projects are based on research at Linköping University.
Over the next three months, 12 promising projects will be supported to develop their business models and take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.
This year’s participants are: Care Connect, PROBE, SecondOpinion, Rymd, ELSA, Synaptogen/Copat, Qcomm, Curling Logistics, Oxygen Pump, Hydrogen Storage, Wire Casting and Ascent.
– It’s a great mix of ideas, from cutting-edge research projects to innovative solutions in logistics, energy and digital services. Six of the participants have their roots in research, which shows the power of commercializing knowledge from academia. The group is full of energy, and it will be very exciting to follow their journey,” says Per Unell, business coach at LEAD and responsible for the BootUp program.
BootUp has become a springboard for early-stage start-ups and research ideas that want to test their business potential and accelerate development. Through the program’s combination of workshops, coaching, and networking, participants are given the tools to take their ideas forward quickly. The program always ends with a DemoDay where you get to pitch to a panel of investors.
We look forward to following this fall’s participants and their next steps through BootUp – and beyond!
