How it works

As innovators and entrepreneurs work together with LEAD, the requirements gradually increase. At the beginning of the process, a selection is made, where LEAD looks very much at the team and the enthusiast. We look at what the goals and ambitions are, as well as the entrepreneur’s own drive and coachability. Then we check that there is potential to build a scalable business and that there is something new in the idea of how to solve an identified problem.

As soon as a company is accepted as a member of LEAD, work on the formulation starts. Much of the focus is on market and customer needs verification, exploring, among other things, whether the market is large enough, how much interest there really is, whether the problem the idea aims to solve is the real problem and what alternative solutions look like. Another important factor we look at at this stage is scalability – how can we work with the contractor to build on the idea? Can anyone copy it and how can it be protected?

The verification phase confirms that the solution is interesting for customers and tests the business model. We identify resource needs such as training, funding and tools for growth, and develop a plan with clear objectives. The aim of the phase is to get several paying pilot customers who want to develop the solution together with the company.

Once your business concept is verified and the team is ready, you take the next step: to scale up and grow. In LEAD’s growth phase, we deepen the work from the verification phase and help the company move from pilot customers to repeat business. We work with six-monthly milestones, developing products, services and internal processes, and using our extensive partner network as a resource.

When the company leaves LEAD, it becomes an alumnus. The aim is then for the company to run a professional business that can generate growth and results on its own and live up to its vision and values.

As an alumni, you are part of the LEAD community and you are still invited to participate in seminars and lectures to share your experiences and tips with new member companies. Sharing is caring.
