The latest addition to LEAD’s incubation program is Warematic, a tech company developing a solution to streamline order picking in e-commerce and 3PL warehouses.

Warematic has taken on a challenge that many warehouse and logistics teams struggle with: how to make order picking faster and more resource-efficient. Using advanced mathematical algorithms, the company’s cloud-based solution analyzes warehouse structures and order data to create optimal picking rounds.

– The result is faster picking, better resource utilization and the potential for significant efficiency gains for customers,” explains Jonas Åhlin, CEO of Warematic.

Warematic emerged as a subsidiary of Optiplan AB and during the first few years carried out a number of pilot projects where the technology was tested and verified. In the summer of 2025, the next step was taken when the company was spun off and became an independent company.

– In October, we went live with our first customer, iPiccolo. It is an e-commerce group that, among other things, runs InkClub, where we currently optimize over one million orders per year. The result was even better than the expected efficiency improvement of 40 percent, which feels very promising, says Jonas Åhlin.

The team behind Warematic consists of experienced entrepreneurs and tech professionals. Jonas Åhlin and Christofer Rydvall started Optiplan AB in 2005 and early on brought in Reza Razmara, PhD in Optimization. Together with Magnus Larsson and Magnus Fröberg, who founded Phoniro AB (formerly Catrel AB) in 2003, they now form the team behind Warematic. Both Optiplan and Phoniro are LEAD alumni that have subsequently been sold on.

– “Although we all have experience of building IT companies that have grown quite large, this is a new journey in a new industry. We are therefore very happy to be back at LEAD and to be supported in the continued development of the company,” concludes Jonas Åhlin.
