We at LEAD are happy to welcome our new Community & Talent Manager, Leymuun Farah. With a background in entrepreneurship, inclusion and community building, she now steps into the role with both curiosity and commitment. Here, Leymuun talks about what she’s most looking forward to, her journey here – and why it feels extra good to be back in Linköping.

A warm welcome to LEAD Leymuun, how does it feel to be here?
– Thank you very much! It feels great. Especially to step into such an innovative and creative environment.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
– Getting to know our members and together with them building and strengthening our community here at LEAD. I’m also looking forward to developing new ways to match our talents – both those who are brand new and those who have already been part of LEAD.

Can you tell us a bit about your background?
– I grew up in Linköping so it feels extra nice to come home after eight years in Stockholm and contribute here. I have previously worked with youth participation, inclusion and community building in various constellations. Most recently, I come from the F1RST foundation, which works to support underrepresented talents into business and academia. I have also made my own entrepreneurial journey, which has given me a lot of insights and a sense of what challenges entrepreneurs face. Therefore, it feels extra fun for me to work at LEAD. Here I get both parts – partly the business side but also what I am passionate about – which is to help and support others in their journey.

And who are you outside work?
– I am a curious and social person who loves connecting with people and learning new things. Privately, I like to spend time with family and friends and I am a mom of a two-year-old. All parents out there know what that means haha.

Finally, do you have any words of wisdom to share?
– What I try to live by now is the mantra that everything will work out! Trying to stop sometimes and enjoy what is here and now.
