The second round of the civil-military innovation accelerator program at LEAD will start soon. Ten carefully selected companies will be welcomed to Linköping in January.

More than 120 companies from all over Sweden applied this year to the Acceleration of Civil-Military Innovations program, a joint initiative of Vinnova and the Swedish Armed Forces. The aim of the program is to promote the development of dual-use technology. Of the applicants, 30 companies have now been granted funding, and ten of them have been awarded a place in LEAD’s accelerator program starting in January.

– We at LEAD gathered many valuable contacts and lessons during the first national accelerator program for civil-military innovation 2025, and now look forward to supporting the new companies, says Catharina Sandberg, CEO of LEAD.

The accelerator program runs for six months. In addition to continuous business coaching, the companies receive a training program with defense-related content through the Swedish Defence University (FHS). The companies are also offered a company-centric program content where LEAD, in collaboration with Ideon, UIC, Innovatum and Sting, conducts thematic meetings and provides relevant contacts from an extensive network of both civilian and military actors.

The program is primarily aimed at Swedish startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
