LEAD company Renasens is one of the winners of the prestigious international H&M Foundation Global Change Award competition. Among 476 ideas submitted from 69 countries on six continents, Renasens has placed in the top ten.

– “Winning the Global Change Award is a testament to the potential of the innovative technologies our team is developing. We are extremely pleased with this recognition and look forward to continuing to drive sustainable innovation forward,” said Jade Abir Bouledjouidja, founder of Renasens.

Renasens has developed a breakthrough technology that makes it possible to separate fibers from textile waste without compromising their quality. This process also removes dyes and additives, which not only enables the reuse of fibers for new textiles, but also reduces microplastic emissions and contributes to more sustainable textile production.

The winners of the Global Change Award receive a prize of €200,000 each to further develop their innovations and contribute to a more sustainable fashion and textile industry.

– “We are incredibly impressed by Renasen’s work and are pleased that we have been able to contribute with support to the company. The award sends a clear signal that the market has opened its eyes to Renasen’s potential to make the textile industry more sustainable,” says Magnus Krogh, business coach at LEAD.
